Privacy Policy

ClickPrompt (clickprompt.app) is a teleprompter for recording videos, operated by Lagniappe Ventures Ltd, a Nevada series limited liability company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can get it deleted.

Your camera and microphone

Recording happens entirely in your browser. Your camera and microphone feed and your video takes stay on your device; we never receive them. You download your takes straight from your browser. The only exception is a voiceover (audio only) that you choose to save to your Pro library: that audio file is uploaded and stored so you can play it back on any device.

What we collect

• Your interview answers. When you generate a script, your answers (name or handle, role, audience, main point, length, and any platform or tone you pick) are sent to our script API, which runs on Cloudflare Workers and drafts the script with Cloudflare Workers AI. We don't keep your answers after the script is returned. To handle bursts of identical requests, a generated script may be cached for up to 5 minutes under a one-way hash of the request.
• A visitor cookie. We set a first-party cookie (cp_vid, kept for up to one year) so we can count your 3 free scripts per day. It contains a random ID, nothing about you.
• IP address. Used as a fallback for the daily free-script count (kept for up to 2 days) and for short-term abuse throttling (kept for a few minutes). Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also processes IP addresses and basic request data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Purchase information. ClickPrompt Pro is sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email, billing details, and payment information. We receive your email and your order or subscription status so we can unlock Pro, manage your subscription, and send account notices such as cancellation and deletion reminders. We never see or store your full card number.
• Unlock token. When you check out or redeem an access code, the app stores one random unlock token in your browser's local storage. Our checkout and redeem APIs link that token to your purchase or code. Access codes are stored only as one-way hashes.
• Saved scripts and voiceovers. Only what you explicitly save to your library, stored so you can pull it up on any device.
• Anonymous usage counts. Daily totals like "scripts generated" or "recordings started," kept for 90 days. No personal data, no cross-site tracking.

What we don't collect

• No passwords and no social logins.
• No advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.
• No video recordings. Your takes never leave your device.

The app also keeps a few preferences in your browser's local storage, such as your chosen platform, whether you've seen the tour, and its mute setting. These stay on your device.

Who sees your data

Cloudflare (hosting, the script API, Workers AI script generation, and storage for your saved library), Lemon Squeezy (payments, taxes, refunds, and license keys), and our email delivery provider (only to send account notices to subscribers). Nobody else. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Deletion

Delete any saved script or voiceover any time from your library — it's gone immediately. If you cancel a paid subscription, your saved data is permanently deleted 10 business days after your paid period ends, with email notices when you cancel and again 5 and 10 business days into that window. After deletion there are no recoverable copies. Full details are in our Terms.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, including California and the EU/UK, you may have additional rights under local law. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

ClickPrompt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post it here with a new "last updated" date.
